Limited Warranty Terms and Conditions
At ASW Inc., we stand by the quality and precision of every watch we sell. Our Limited Warranty is designed to provide comprehensive protection for your timepiece, ensuring peace of mind and ongoing support. We offer coverage for both new and pre-owned watches, with flexible options for extended protection.
1. Warranty for New Watches
- Balance of Manufacturer's Warranty: All new watches come with the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty included with the watch, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. This warranty is fully transferable, so any future owners will receive the remaining balance of the original warranty.
2. Warranty for Pre-Owned and Vintage Watches
- Manufacturer's Warranty and ASW In-House Warranty: All pre-owned and vintage watches come with the balance of the manufacturer’s warranty (if applicable) plus an additional one-year ASW Inc. In-House Limited Warranty at no extra cost.
- Extended In-House Warranty: For extended protection, customers may purchase an extended in-house warranty for $199 for the first additional year and $149 for each subsequent year of coverage. This extended warranty is transferrable to future owners, ensuring that the timepiece remains protected beyond the original purchase.
3. Warranty Coverage
- Manufacturing Defects: The warranty covers any manufacturing defects as assessed by ASW Inc.'s authorized service center. Any defective components will be repaired or replaced free of charge, at our discretion.
- Repair or Replacement: Should a defect arise within the covered period, ASW Inc. will either repair or replace the item, ensuring your timepiece maintains its original integrity and functionality.
4. Warranty Exclusions
- Wear and Tear: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including but not limited to external damage such as scratches or wear to the watch case, crystal/glass, watch bracelet, bezel, straps, screws, crown/stem, finishes, clasps/buckles, or other external components.
- Misuse and Abuse: Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or improper handling (e.g., accidental water intrusion not related to a manufacturer defect) is not covered.
- Water Damage: Watches labeled as water-resistant must have the screw-down crown secured at all times to prevent water damage. Damage caused by failure to secure the crown or by use beyond the manufacturer’s water resistance guidelines is not covered unless deemed defective by ASW Inc.’s service center.
- Loss of Stones: The loss of precious or semi-precious stones from their settings is not covered.
- Unauthorized Modifications: Any unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by third parties will void the warranty.
5. Transferability
- This warranty is fully transferable. If the watch is sold or gifted to a new owner, they will inherit the balance of both the manufacturer’s and ASW Inc.’s in-house warranties, providing continued protection for the timepiece.
6. Shipping Costs
- The customer is responsible for shipping costs related to warranty repairs. ASW Inc. does not cover shipping expenses associated with returning the watch for repair.
7. How to Claim Warranty Service
- Contact Information: To initiate a warranty claim, please contact ASW Inc. at [insert contact details] with your purchase documentation and warranty card.
- Assessment Process: Once the timepiece is received, our service center will assess the issue to determine if it is covered under warranty. If the claim is valid, repairs or replacements will be completed promptly.
8. Maintaining Your Warranty
- Proper Use: To maintain the validity of your warranty, ensure your watch is used in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications, particularly with regard to water resistance and regular maintenance. Unauthorized repairs or service from third parties will void the warranty.
